The valley church Sogn Martegn a Ziràn (St.Martin in Zillis), built in the 9th century in the Hinterrhein valley, received its one-of-a-kind ceiling coverings, consisting of 153 panels of Biblical representations, in the 12th century, which remains completely in its original condition.
